This Practical Bastard Sword is a re-enactment version of the Paul Chen / Hanwei Bastard Sword based on the Oakeshott Type XVIIIA. It has a wheel pommel and forged 5160 high-carbon steel blade that has been rounded and reinforced to provide safe and reliable use in training combat. It also includes an all leather scabbard as opposed to a leather and wood scabbard to minimize damage to both sheath and wielder in the event of a fall. The grip and scabbard are neutral-colored leather, allowing customization.
